“I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, It's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, And that enables you to laugh at life's realities.”

House of Trey!!!

This is what life is like in my house with this three year old! He is constantly entertaining me and his sisters! Sometimes in not such great ways (refer to older posts!!!) The problem is, he is just so dang cute...he could really get away with anything. We all adore his cute little mug so much, and I think that he is beginning to know it too! He is such a boy; always dirty, always naked(not that all boys are always naked, my girls just weren't that way), and always getting into trouble.

Today we went for a little walk down to the park. We weren't going to stay very long because Aurianna didn't feel good. I turned my back for two seconds and when I turned around I couldn't see Trey anywhere. I thought maybe he was hiding in one of the tunnels. I then watched as Trey walked up and over the hill pulling his pant up as he went. Yep...he obviously had to go to the bathroom. I was horrified as I looked around to all the houses and hoped that none of the moms happened to be looking out their windows at that exact time. When he saw that I was looking in his direction, he flashed me one of his great big grins and simply said, "I had to go pee".

For Good....

For Christmas my amazing Mom surprised me with Wicked tickets! Saturday finally came and I think that we called each other every hour giddy as little school girls until dinner time! Even the sweet waiter at Market Street said, "wow, something big must be happening tonight!" The only word that I can use to describe it is AMAZING! I left wanting to gather it all up and take it home with me in my pocket to re-live it over and over again! We were on the third row from the stage and could see the singers spit as they hit the high notes (lovely I know...but again amazing!!!)!

I didn't realize that I was going to be touched so much by the show. It made me think a lot about my Aunt Becky. The song that I have playing on my playlist, For Good, was sung at her funeral. I haven't been able to stop thinking about her since I came home. She was also amazing! She was one of my very best friends in the entire world. She was beautiful, smart, loving and so many more things. There was never a time in my life that we couldn't talk for hours upon hours. When I was growing up I couldn't wait for a chance to be around my Aunt...it was like soaking in rays of sunshine. She always had a smile on her face. And as I got older and got married, our situations were so much a like. Our kids (although about 16 years apart), were the exact same distance apart, 3 years and then 15 months. And our husbands both traveled. I knew that I could always call her and say, "How did you do this with him being gone...?" and she always had an answer and uplifting words to say. She loved my kids so much and they loved her. I still have a hard time accepting that a simple accident took her away from us much too early. But I am so thankful for all the things that she taught me. Her sweet words of encouragement are always in the back of my head on the hard days. Her love for life make me strive to live everyday to the fullest. Soon after she passed away, I miscarried. I still remember Livia who was so confused by everything that had taken place within just a short month, climbing on my lap one day and saying that Aunt Becky was lonely and that is why our baby went to live with her. I hope that that is true. I hope that my sweet baby is being rocked by my dear sweet Aunt. I can't think of anyone else that I would want to take my place. She truly touched my world for good and I am a better person, mom, wife, friend, daughter because of her. I love you Aunt Becky.

Happy Spring!

I have an addiction...fresh flowers! It started, well probably when I worked as a florist in High School...but worsened when I moved to Washington and Aurianna and I would attend the Farmers Markets every Saturday. I would bring home my gigantic bouquet of fresh flowers (for only 8 dollars!) every week! I loved how it brightened up our town house! Now I feed my addiction by grabbing all the flowers I can while grocery shopping at Sams. Not exactly the same...but it makes grocery shopping a little more enjoyable. I love this time of year because of the tulips. I can't help but smile every time I see them! Thanks babe for all the smiles these happy flowers caused!

Bunnies, shaved dogs and PERMANENT MARKER...

Very odd title, I know...but since I last posted there have been way too many things going on, therefore way too many things to blog about. Every morning I plan to blog after the kids go to bed and every night I am so dag blasted tired, I just want to sit and veg. If anyone has any ideas on how to get my adorable three year old to sleep in his own bed the entire night through, I would greatly appreciate it. He has been at it for three months now, so my night consists of waking, taking him back to his bed, laying there waiting for him to re-enter my bed and repeating this cycle at least three more times. Ok...back to bunnies...

These are the cute chair covers that we made this week! They were really easy and the kids had a blast making their own bunny face! I planned on doing all ten chairs, but ran out of steam...maybe next year we will finish the other six! I looked for white pillow cases, that would have made the project even more simple, but couldn't find any. I ended up just sewing these. You can get a template for the face here,Onto our shaved dog...I took the dog to the groomer this week...I have before and after photos....
BEFORE

AFTER
The kids think that Kaya looks like Bolt...Tad things that he looks like a girl squirrel...oh well, I am just happy he won't be shedding as much now!!!

Two seconds....that is all the time Trey needs to destroy, create, or make a mess....The day Tad was coming home (after 10 days of being gone)...Trey discovered my huge (well hid) permanent marker (you know the big ones for writing on boxes) and did this to himself....when asked why, he said...(in a loud, make mom realize how important this moment was to me voice), "I AM THE BLACK SPIDERMAN!!! I think that Barney and Maggie and the Ferocious Beast just weren't doing it for Tad while I was gone...lesson learned!!! A few other things that we have been up to....

Home made play dough....Livia and Trey were fascinated by this, thinking that play dough only came from Wal Mart....Aurianna remembered the yester years when we used to have homemade play dough parties, ya that doesn't really happen anymore!!!

Pillow case slides....

Salt dough Easter figures...

And the park....
