“I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, It's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, And that enables you to laugh at life's realities.”

One Handed!

I am quickly becoming an expert one handed typer! I have the right down and I am currently working on the left! Unfortunately, I get a little frustrated if I have to do more than a simple facebook entry, or google search, so I guess I am not exactly an expert...but I can do it!!! But tonight I sit here empty handed. For the sake of blogging, laundry and my back, I have decided that Ainslee needs to start getting used to somewhat of a schedule. If she is not being held by me, you can find her in the arms of dad, Uncle Alex, Aurianna and Livia. Trey will hold her, but once he gives her a kiss on the forehead and she squirms a little bit, he claims that she is pooping and hands her off! She is sleeping at night (I was starting to randomly lay my head on my pillow throughout the day just to remember what it was like sleeping on it), she sleeps from 9:00 to 4:00am and then again until 7am! I guess now I just need to start going to bed at 9! Well some fun things happened in January so I wanted to go back and blog about some of them! Thanks to my sis-in-law, I now know that you can blog about it and post it on other days, but this one is kind of random things!

I painted the girls room finally! We had a blast doing it! I am painting a chalk board on one of their walls this week! Now they can really play school!!!

Liv and Trey had pajama day at school! So snugly!!!

I decided one day that I was going to take the kids skating for the first time. They love ice skating so I was excited to see what they thought of roller skating...I loved roller skating! Note to all those pregnant women out there. Do not take your three children roller skating for the first time when you are eight months pregnant. You cannot really help them at all, and so there is a lot of falling involved (not me but the kids), a lot of frustration and then you just give up and go to this...

traded the skates for the bowling shoes and everyone was happy!

And then there was BBall!

Oh how we love Bball! I actually went into labor at Aurianna's last game! Aurianna had a blast playing this year in the winter league! She loves that she can intimidate all of the boys on the other team by being a head taller than them! She had a great season making a few baskets every game!

Baby Ainslee

I would like to introduce you to our sweet new addition...
Ainslee Raquel Thornton!!!

She was born on Saturday, February 6th at 5:01 pm! She weighed 6 pounds 9 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long!

She is spoiled rotten by her older sisters and brother. They never want to put her down (and when they do, mom and dad are there to finish off the spoiling!!!) She is such a good little baby! She is finding her little voice more and more, but it is just a little whine to let us know that she needs something and then she is satisfied!!! So here come the pictures!!!

Yes Tad is scruffy and I look exhausted...I was being induced on the 10th which was still a week and a half early from my due date, so we were not planning on this little girl to come so early! I went into labor at 1:45 in the am and by 3am we were packing (it was Saturday, I was going to pack, really I was!). My labors are always quick, quick, quick...I am so not used to 15 hour labors or major contractions. When I walked into Jordan Valley Hospital at 1:30pm (at 6 am my contractions stopped, Aurianna had a BBall game, so we went to that, my contractions came back full force the second I walked in the door!)after a two hour drive with 6 minutes in between my contractions, I was almost an 8! I am surprised that Tad is still alive to tell the tale. It was an adventure that I never want to repeat again!!!

Family!!!

Meeting the new baby sister!!!

This is today...two weeks old! The other day she was 7 lbs 2 oz and 20 in long! Yes, the chubby cheeks didn't take long to show up!

I have a ton of other things to blog about...Trey's 4th bday and valentines...I will eventually get around to it...one day! But for now we are all just loving up every minute that we get to spend with our baby Ainslee! Keep up all of your blogs though...I can look at all of your blogs with just one hand! No typing required!!! Thanks for keeping me entertained and awake at three am!

Out of the mouth of Livia...

I still have a ton to post from December and all of our projects from the last week, but I had to take a time out for a short post. I think that I already have a journal full of things that come out of Livia mouths, and yet I am still amazed at the things that she comes up with! This was our conversation last week on the way to the library...
(background...I had just announced that the next day the kids were going to go pick out their marble gift for earning all of their marbles...)

Livia: Why can't we go now and get our marbles?
Me: Well we are really busy today.
Livia: But why can't we go today?
Me: Well mommy needs to get some time to see how much money I have in the bank (explanation...mom should have balanced the check book days ago and hasn't done it yet...oops!)
Livia: WE DON'T HAVE ANY MONEY? OH NO, WE ARE POOR
Me: We aren't poor (as she is running along the sidewalk to Trey)
Livia to Trey:(with her dramatic flare for all library goers to hear) TREY GUESS WHAT, WE ARE POOR!
Trey: (confused shoulder hunch) what's poor?

As I watched, I pictured a little cartoon balloon above Liv's head filled with shoes and dresses pop! Poor Livia!

Time

With only a little over three weeks to go before we welcome our bundle of joy into our home, time is on the forefront of my mind. The main concern is that suddenly there became not enough of it. I personally blame it on the belly that is growing leaps and bounds daily and making projects like bending over, sleeping and even walking a little bit difficult. By this point I usually have the nursery ready, clothes and blankets washed and hung, bags packed and birth plans printed out on adorable paper! About three days ago I realized my time restraint and about had a panic attack. Nothing done...how did nine months go by so quickly? As I run through my mind what I am about to blog, I am getting a better idea as to how time has flown by. So my goal for today...cross "blog" off my list and pick out a print for my new Hooter Hider!

My Little Girl Turned 8 and Got Baptized!

Aurianna had a great month of November celebrating her birthday with all of her friends and then having all of her family join her for her baptism! It was a truly wonderful day that we will all remember forever. You couldn't remove the beaming smile that she had pasted on her face for the entire weekend! Thanks to all that were able to come celebrate with her!

Livia Became an Ice Princess for her Recital!

My little superstar had her dance recital the night of Aurianna's baptism! It worked out perfectly to have all of our family there! She steps out on stage and her "I am the center of attention" attitude kicks in! Her smile couldn't get any bigger! She was adorable and of course loved all of the flowers!

November also brought...USU Cheer Camp, Decorating the Tree, Disney Princess on Ice & Thanksgiving!

Trey, with the help of Uncle Dustin and his pink snuggie, showed off his mad guitar hero skills for everyone at Thanksgiving! We all had a blast! We also decided this year that we have officially grown out of our tree. Not only are we not going to be able to fit anymore ornaments on it, next year Aurianna is going to be taller than it! 40 dollars for 12 years...not bad!

Well once again, time has run out! This will have to become a part one, part two blog! Alex you better be smiling! Until next time!

PS. My spell check isn't working, along with my picture posting thing (thus the reason that pictures are out of order...if you know how to fix it, please let me know!). Please forgive me...the brain cells have been slightly on the decline! Spelling vs brain cells(kids!), well worth it!
