St. George

Over memorial day weekend we were invited to St. George to spend the weekend with Tad's Aunt Karla and all of the Thornton cousins! Caroline, Aunt Karla's best friend and a friend of the family for years opened up her gorgeous house to all of us and made us feel like we were all royalty for the weekend. They cooked us glorious food, treated us to wonderful restaurants and entertained the kids with swimming and fun new toys! The kids had a blast with all of their cousins!

Mom was in St. George for the weekend too! She met us at an awesome park! We all had a blast!

Ahoy There!

This year we had a pirate join us for Health Days! Aurianna tried out for the Pirates of Penzance play that was being put on during all of the Health Days festivities! Mom was stressing (practice every night for two weeks, plus soccer, piano and dance...ahhhhh!) but Aurianna loved every minute of it! She was a little Ruth Pirate! She had so much fun learning the dances and the songs. She had a blast dressing up and watching all of the older kids get into costume!



Before we ever got to the play on Saturday night, we had already had a full day! The kids were in the parade for their dance group. Grandma and Grandpa Mitch came up along with Grandma Kelly and Uncle Alex. Then we headed over to the carnival where the girls performed! They had a blast of course and got to go on a few of the rides!

After the performance Grandma Retta and Aunt Katie came up! The cousins spent all afternoon playing and having fun! Aurianna did awesome in the play that night! Trey and Livia were glued to the play! They thought that it was so neat that their sister was up on the stage! She had

another performance on Monday! I got to be a back stage mom...it was a blast!!! Aurianna has decided that she wants to be on the stage a lot more often!

Going to the Zoo...How about YOU!!!

Aurianna's class had a school field trip to the zoo last week! The zoo here in Cache Valley defiantly leaves something to be desired, but I don't think that the kids really cared about the zoo part of the trip! They were more excited to take the BUS!!! My kids are fascinated by buses, mainly because they know that at the school they go to they don't get to ride the bus, so of course that is all they want to do!

The kids did have a fun time seeing a few animals up close before they went into the zoo! It is no surprise when Aurianna wants to touch the snakes, but Trey and Livia even got in on the action this time!

TAD GRADUATED!!!!

Wow....two years ago when Tad started this MBA journey...I had no doubt in my mind that he would finish...but as time went by, I really saw no end in sight! But the day arrived, YPEE!!! The kids are so proud of their daddy! I think that being able to see him graduate, made all of the nights of homework and school seem worth it! Tad worked so hard, receiving all A's and one A-! It made our undergraduate years seem like a piece of cake (no kids and part time jobs!!!) We are all ready for to get back to normal, and I am looking forward to my gigantic honey do list to start being checked off! We had such a fun day with our family celebrating! Thanks for coming and cheering Tad on with us! We love you!

Catch Up!

As I sat down a month ago to fill out my calendar, I couldn't imagine how we were going to fit everything in. But we did it...the only thing that I didn't squeeze in was time for blogging...so here we go, catch up time!
